Many people often say - "Why should I waste my money, my energy, and risk my life on a difficult trek, when I can just relax and enjoy a tourist spot? Why walk for days when I can drive to a place with an excellent view? Why should I go to a place where food is non-luxurious, costly? Where there is no proper restaurant, hotel, cinema hall - not even a proper hospital or a police station? "
These are very relevant questions..
Because for years, industrialists have promoted and fed the idea of relaxation - as if it only lives on a sun-kissed sea beach, or in front of a snow-covered mountain, or inside a luxury hotel or cabin buried in the forest like a sweet, safe lie..
But nobody told you that some truths are only found where comfort ends..
I personally feel trekking is not for the usual, average tourists.. It is for adventurous explorers.. Especially difficult treks..
When you trek through silent valleys and along roads rarely travelled by foot, it will feel like a meditation - a slow, sacred unravelling of the soul..
Trekking is never about snowfall, or giant mountains, or making reels, or posting photos on the walls of homestays.. I am not against these.. But you need to understand exactly why one should trek - before you do..
When you stand in front of a vast, ancient mountain with nothing but a walking distance between you and its eternity - you can finally realise how small your problems are.. how fragile your ego is.. how little you are in the grand, whispering majesty of nature..
Forests, sea beaches, even easy treks - they will not give you this kind of tremor in the chest..
When you talk with local people who have very few expectations, who lead such simple lives, who work hard just to earn their bread.. something shifts inside you.. Your complaint about everything - vanished..
A trek is difficult for a reason.. So that only a few can reach - while the rest bring pollution and toxicity wherever they go.. But up there, in that thin, honest air - you can explore yourself .. You can talk with shedding leaves.. You can hear the silence between your own heartbeats..
One misjudged step can claim your life.. And that is exactly how you will finally understand the value of being alive..You won't smoke - because your lungs will be too busy praying for the climb ahead..
And that is how a difficult trek brings pure endorphin, pure dopamine, pure serotonin — not from a bottle, not from a chemical — but from the raw, untamed poetry of survival..
पहाड़ तुमसे कुछ नहीं माँगते — बस तुम्हें तुम्हारी औकात दिखा देते हैं..और उस दिन तुम समझ जाते हो - की तुम धूल हो, और धूल से बड़ा कुछ नहीं..
